New Connections and Insights – The 10th Startup Safari Concludes with Resounding Success
This landmark event was made possible with the generous support of the National Innovation Agency of Hungary (NIÜ).
With over 200 speakers, nearly 1000 participants, and two full days dedicated to the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and inspiration, Startup Safari Budapest—the city’s premier startup event—celebrated its 10th edition in style.
Held on April 8–9, the conference kicked off with a curated program by Tőkeportál, hosted at Puzl CowOrKing, fostering focused engagement among attendees. The second day saw the event expand across various venues throughout Budapest, offering participants the opportunity to explore a wide range of timely and thought-provoking topics. While Create26 once again served as the event’s central hub, nearly 150 sessions unfolded across multiple locations over the course of the two days.
Prestigious institutions such as the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Corvinus University, KAPTÁR, and STRT became vibrant centers of dialogue, featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions led by prominent figures in the startup ecosystem.
A standout moment was the discussion between Dr. Péter Oszkó and Petya Balogh on the rapid emergence of low-cost AI platforms. Reflecting on how drastically the landscape has shifted in just two years, they noted that what was once thought to be an exclusive domain for major players is now a thriving space for innovation and accessibility—underscoring the fast-paced evolution of the tech world.
This theme of transformation echoed throughout the conference, with sessions addressing the most relevant issues of our time—from the fintech revolution and the new space race to paradigm shifts in the pharmaceutical industry.
Beyond the formal agenda, the event also offered abundant opportunities for networking and collaboration. Through 1-on-1 meetings, participants were able to delve into niche topics, discover funding opportunities, and explore the strategic role of data in business, all while building valuable professional relationships.
Informal connections were also encouraged. One of the event’s key partners, the EIT (European Institute of Innovation & Technology) Community Hub Hungary, hosted a vibrant networking lunch under the EIT Culture and Creativity umbrella, further strengthening the bonds within the startup community.
The event was also supported by the Hungarian Tourism Program Foundation, Innomaker Partners, and the primary media partner, Startup Online. Bringing together voices from across industries, Startup Safari fostered both professional development and meaningful connections—setting the stage for an even more dynamic experience next year.
