Michal Hladký is the Director of EIT Culture & Creativity East, leading the development of cultural and creative industries through innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strategic policymaking at the European level. He is responsible for shaping and implementing strategic activities within the EIT Culture & Creativity, fostering partnerships, and supporting the regional innovation ecosystem.
Previously, he served as the Director of Creative Industry Košice (CIKE), where he played a key role in Košice’s European Capital of Culture 2013 its legacy and long-term sustainability. Under his leadership, CIKE became a major player in international projects focused on cultural and creative industries, education, mobility, and innovative business models.
As a policy advisor at the local, regional, and national levels, he helps shape strategic frameworks for culture and creativity.
With over 18 years of experience in international projects, cultural and creative policies, and strategic urban development, he is a key figure shaping the future of creative ecosystems in Europe.
